Penyman Foundation launches women empowerment program in Ghana’s Central Region

Penyman Foundation, a women empowerment-driven nonprofit organization under the Penyman Group, has announced the launch of its maiden Free Skill Training Workshop for women in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa (AOB) District, Central Region of Ghana.

The program, organized in collaboration with Billy’s Trendy Wigs, aims to empower women with entrepreneurship skills that can create long-term economic opportunities. Participants will receive practical, hands-on training in two highly marketable trades: wig-making and soap-making.

Empowering Women Through Skills and Entrepreneurship

As the world rapidly embraces entrepreneurship, women in rural and semi-urban communities often face barriers to access training and opportunities. Penyman Foundation recognizes the urgent need to bridge this gap by providing free entrepreneurship training programs for women in Ghana.

By equipping women with sought-after skills, the Foundation seeks to promote poverty reduction, create pathways to financial independence, and support the growth of small businesses led by women.

Workshop Details

• Date: Tuesday, 2nd – Thursday, 4th September 2025

• Venue: Lombardo Community Library, AOB District, Central Region

• Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day

The free skill training workshop is open to all women in the district, with a special focus on young women who are eager to start their journey into entrepreneurship in Ghana.

Both wig-making and soap-making are high-demand enterprises in Ghana and across Africa. Wig-making offers entry into the booming beauty and fashion industry, while soap-making provides opportunities in the ever-growing personal care and household products market. By focusing on these trades, Penyman Foundation ensures participants gain skills with real earning potential.
